    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

Answers about security, formats, and limitations.

How do I extract a single page from a PDF?
Enter the page number in the Pages field. For example, entering "3" will give you the third page as a separate PDF file.
How do I split a PDF into page ranges?
Use a hyphen for ranges and a comma to list multiple selections: "1-5,8,10-15" means the first five pages, page eight, and pages ten through fifteen.
What format is the output delivered in?
Multiple pages are downloaded as a ZIP archive. Each file inside the archive is a separate page or page range.
    Can I split a password-protected PDF?
No — to work with protected PDFs, you must remove the password protection first. This tool only processes unprotected files.
Is image quality preserved when splitting?
Yes. Splitting does not re-encode the content — pages are extracted without any loss of quality.
