How a strategy session works
Before the session. We interview each participant individually. We learn what concerns them, where they see points of disagreement, and what ideas they bring. This lets us shape the discussion and avoid unpleasant surprises.
The session itself. Usually 2–3 days, depending on scope. During the session we:
- Set out the full picture: where the company stands today, which windows of opportunity are open, and which risks loom
- Work through the options for growth: deepening, expansion, transformation
- Listen to views, test assumptions, surface hidden disagreements
- Debate in a structured way: facts against facts, not opinions against opinions
- Choose a strategy and break it down into initiatives
- Align on key performance indicators (KPIs) and assign owners
After the session. We document everything in detail: strategy, initiatives, KPIs, timelines, dependencies. We hold individual follow-up meetings with each participant to clarify their role and commitments.
