    FAQ

    Common questions

Answers about security, supported formats, and limitations.

Will cell colors and formatting be preserved?
Yes, colors, fonts, borders, and cell fills are retained. Complex conditional formatting may render slightly differently.
Will all sheets be included in the PDF?
By default all visible sheets are converted. Each sheet becomes a separate spread in the PDF.
Can I convert a file that contains macros?
Macros are ignored during conversion — this is expected, as they are only needed when working inside Excel. Cell content is fully preserved.
Is the result different from Excel's built-in Save as PDF?
Slightly — LibreOffice may place page breaks differently. For precise control, set a print area in Excel before converting.
Are pivot tables and charts supported?
Yes, pivot tables and charts are converted as images — they are visually preserved but are no longer interactive.
